Event description

Join experienced guides on an accessible guided walk in the largest remaining portion of natural vegetation on the Fleurieu Peninsula. Tucked down on the southern coast of the Fleurieu Peninsula, Deep creek National Park is home to a broad array of plant and animal life, including over 100 species of bird.

The Goondooloo Ridge Walk offers spectacular views of the park and at the lookouts where you can look across Backstairs Passage and over to The Pages and Kangaroo Island.

ACCESSIBILITY

The Goondooloo Ridge Walk is 4.2 km return and has a hard packed surface. The 1m wide trail gently slopes down towards to the lookout so some people may require assistance on the way back. There may be small rocks on some parts of the path which are easily avoided. This is a class 2 trail. For those using a manual wheelchair, it is recommended to use a freewheel if you have one.

MEETING LOCATION

The walk will begin at the Goondooloo Ridge Picnic Area. There is accessible parking and an accessible toilet available at the site.

Park of the Month attendees are exempt from park vehicle access fees but please make sure to provide your car registration number when you book your ticket.
